How often do we stop to take notice of the sacred breathe? Of course, we know we are "breathing" because we woke up in our bodies, but are we really fully taking in the breathe? The answer is that most of us are not fully taking in the sacred breathe--Prana--that is necessary and so vital for our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellness.
When we are experiencing stress, overwhelm-ness, anxiety or indecision, we tend to unconsciously hold our breathe. Heavy emotions and thoughts are ENERGY nonetheless, and if these emotions are held in, they will also cause us to not fully breathe. The result can be felt on many levels: Fatigue, emotional confusion, inability to think clearly, bodily pain, insomnia and so on.
The body naturally wants to breathe fully and craves to be fueled and filled.
One of the ways you can optimally accomplish this is to take a few moments a few times throughout the day to fully breathe. IT does not matter if you are at work, outside or traveling in public transportation. Just take a few moments to close your eyes and take a full inhalation of breathe through your nostrils...hold it in for a few moments, then exhale through your mouth...allowing the solar plexus to empty out...by making a haaaa sound. You will be amazed at how centered, cleared and focused you feel after practicing a few pranic breaths. You will also feel balanced, connected and free of any heaviness you may have been holding.
Can it really be so simple to bring ourselves to our core center by just breathing?
Yes!
