Unconditional Love

There is no greater power in heaven or on earth than pure, unconditional love.

The nature of the God force, the unseen intelligence in all things, which causes the material world and is the center of both the spiritual and physical plane, is best described as pure, unconditional love. This God force is the oversoul to which we are always connected because we are localized extensions of that force.

I suggest you embark on an experiment in which you practice only unconditional love for several days. Vow to yourself that you will only allow unconditional loving thoughts to emanate from your consciousness. Make an intense proclamation to live unconditional love. During this time, refuse to have judgmental or critical thoughts. In your quiet time, think only peace and love. In all of your relationships, think and act in only loving ways. Extend loving thoughts and energy wherever and whenever you encounter anyone or anything. Become unconditional love for this period of time.

By pouring love into your immediate environment and practicing gentleness in all of your thoughts, words, and actions, your immediate circle of friends will begin responding in a whole new way. This act becomes expansive very quickly and you can radiate this love to your whole community. You become detached and loving toward all. You are not loving the hostile acts of others, but you are loving the spirit that is blocked in those who are harmful and unloving. When you can live this way and reject all thoughts and actions that are not of an unconditionally loving nature, you will experience the essence of your spirit and discover how to overcome limitations in your life.

What can you expect as you practice a few days of being total unconditional love? If all of your meditations are devoted to love, and if you pour love into every single situation and every single person you meet, and beyond that to everyone on the planet and to the infinity of the universe, you will feel yourself becoming a different person. You will sleep more soundly. You will feel at peace virtually all of the time. Your relationships will be more deeply spiritual. You will begin recognizing the “coincidences” of your life with greater regularity. Your thought forms of unconditional love will begin to produce what you desire without your even being aware of how it is happening. Your dreams will be more intense, and the vision of your purpose will become clearer.

You Can't Seek Happiness, but You can let it Sneak up on You!

Happiness is not something you can seek. It is a byproduct of doing things you love. When you follow your bliss you are engaged in activities which will lead you to happiness. Also it is elusive to those who seek it, it finds you if you let it. You only realize it after the fact, because you will find you were caught up in the journey and not looking for the finish line. Happiness just sneaks up on you!

Hate

"Have a nice day, somewhere else."
~Lemmy Kilminster

I once had an ex-fiance. I hated her so much she could strip my ability to speak when I had seen her. The words all became twisted and bitter in my throat and choked me, not her. She never felt the hate, it was only in my heart. It was only doing me harm. I love myself, so why was I hurting myself?

The flipside of it is when you love your neighbor, you are loving Christ. The circumpunct is a circle within a circle and the center of the Celtic cross. They said Christ realized he was god only when his heart was where that circle meets on the cross. Before then, he was just a man. Just like him we are god as well. To love god is to love our self. To love those you hate is being able to face the reflection of the parts of yourself you hate. To move past that is to truly love yourself.

So I sought her out and became friends. The attraction was gone, but I got to have a new friend. Most important I was not hurting myself anymore...

Cheers,
Chris

Welcome to another fabulous and wonderful week! Sometimes the stars have beautiful gifts for you; other times they have warnings. Nothing is negative, it is all in how you perceive it. A yank of the arm might just save you from walking in front of a bus... Everything might not go exactly how you want; just remember when the stars hand you lemons, remember to always make lemonade with a dash of love added... When the stars open up to something amazing, run in!

The week begins on a day of traditions around the world. Pleasure seeking, contented, diplomatic Venus is moving into Capricorn for the next several weeks. Capricorn is the sign of tradition and conventionality, so this is ideal for Christmas Day. Venus will also be aligning with Saturn, the hallmark of conventionality - if you have any issues with personal relationships, this combination can test them. If you're away from a loved one, this can enhance that you're feeling alone or separated. Overall, this Christmas Day, a lot of people will be following their traditions or starting new ones with a new family. Fear and Desire

Early Christians and Buddhists tell the same story about a demiurge who created our world. Once he realized he existed and became self aware, he created fear that another was alive. Fear of that other would want to do him harm. Then when loneliness became too great to stand, he desired that another would exist. Even at the cost of losing his own life.

These are the two basic tenets that block us from our own Nirvana or Heaven on Earth. Just the desire for them creates the fear we will not attain that state. Fearful and lustful statues block the entrance to Buddhist temples. You need to overcome these two demons before you enter their sacred space.

I faced these statues in my own way one summer.

On the way to Marblehead from Salem on the bicycle trail there are two bridges flanked by two poles on each side on each bridge. They created an anxiety in me which caused me to overthink their spacing. I was not sure if both of my handlebars would hit them as I passed through, but they didn't. Even after I passed the first of the four, I still hesitated at the remaining ones. I desired to go through, but I feared I would hit my hands. For a month I over thought going through them, then one day I just went right passed these Buddhist sentinels without thinking about them. I was just enjoying the journey.

It is good to dream. The Hindus actually believe the Brahmin is a dreamer that opens his eyes and creates a new universe and closes his eye to make a new one in the morning. Dream always and it will shape your actions in this world. A dream is different than a desire, one is unconscious thought the other is conscious. Also a dream tends to be less logical in its course and allows for serendipity where the logic of desire may be rigid like an oak and can crack. Dreams are flexible like a pine.

Desire is to follow a star, but how do you know it is yours to follow. If you are staring at the stars too long, you are cutting your dreams short.

Your true star will just pull you like our sun pulls the earth. Your own star will do the same.

Another analogy is that everyone has their own stream and current. For the most part, you only need a inner tube and the good knowledge not to fight your way up stream and life will bring you where you need to be. At times you might find yourself in still waters at a fork, just know either path would be good, but different. Who is to say which is the road less traveled.

Desire has forced many to swim upstream all the way to the top of the waterfall, but no one has enough strength to summit the fall or hang on forever. It's a great fall once we let go to ourselves which disorients the ego just enough to let go of desire. Fear kept us hanging on to the top of the fall, but when we release ourselves to a higher power we find ourselves.

So just let go and you will find your life. Let go of desire and fear and you just might find your happiness. Even if it was not the Nirvana or Heaven that you were looking for, but it will be yours you will find.

Cheers,
Chris

Exercise and the New Year!

How often have you heard the expression, “No pain, no gain”? It can apply to many life situations, including exercise to shape up, tone or drop weight. But when pain is severe or prolonged, you gain nothing and stand to lose a lot!

There are a number of tips to help you stay safe to avoid workout injuries. Some of them include:
Warming up – Warm muscles are far less likely to tear than cold ones. So, if you’re going out for a run, walk a bit first, then trot before you go into full running mode. Stretching your muscles, especially the ones you’re going to be using, also helps you to avoid injury.

Cooling down – The same is true when you end an exercise session. You can’t just automatically stop when you are finished with your workout because this may cause an unsafe drop in blood pressure. Using running as an example- slow down to a walk again before you just stop your exercise. It’s also important to stretch out those muscles again.

Staying hydrated – Water, water, water! Drinking water before, during and after a workout replaces fluids lost from sweating and exertion, especially important in warm or hot weather.

Listening to your body – Don’t continue your workout if suddenly you find yourself in pain. Your body is trying to tell you something. Ignoring it can only make it worse, so stop whatever you’re doing and give your body a few days to recover before starting up again.

Learning the proper technique for the workout – Make sure you know the proper technique for any new workout routine you are attempting for the first time. Correct technique is as important as warming up to avoid injury.

The decision to exercise is an important one for your overall health – as important as diet and regular chiropractic care – to keep your nervous system fit and healthy. Remember to start out slowly, don’t overdo it and stop if you feel any type of pain, in order to avoid serious injury.

With the Love of the Angels,

Happy New Year

With the possibilities of the New Year coming up, and all the excitement tied to making resolutions, lists and hopeful improvements on the horizon, we may feel like we have the next 6 weeks to party, entertain and finish out 2017 without concern for all of the bad habits or weird choices we′ve made.

There′s a million ads, videos and TV shows telling us we have to completely change, lose 200 lbs., throw away our romance novels; whatever it is, we′re expected to make a huge shift for a huge gain. In the end though, studies show it only takes about 21 days to create a new habit or routine.

Whether it′s for health reasons, peer pressure or just wanting to break a cycle you are not benefiting from any more, why are you waiting? You don′t even need to be dramatic and drastic. Start small and it can add up in the long run.
