Love

In tarot the love card, two of cups, represents the love of yourself. How do you know who you want to love if you do not know who you are. This knowledge comes through love. If you do not know how to love yourself, how do you know how to love another? 

If you don't know thyself, as plato said, how do you know what you want. Till that point, someone else is making your decisions. You do not know if you truly like vanilla or chocolate ice cream. Many people become indecisive and let us people chose for them till they come to this realization. So if you can't trust yourself to chose the right ice cream, how can you chose the person you want to fall in love with? Also be careful of those who will chose for you...

If you do not know how to love yourself, how do you know that when you are giving you are not being enabling? How do you know not to smother. How do you know to be truthful, if you are not truthful to yourself?  How to be faithful, if you have no faith in yourself?

So many come to me and ask about Love, but they should be asking about themselves first.
